Housekeeping is a crucial element for the success of a short-term rental. At Bénoline, we offer a specialized service, designed to meet the specific requirements of this type of rental. This means that there are specific points that are not found in standard housekeeping. 

Bénoline's housekeeping for short-term rentals is only available to our clients who have one of our property management packages with us.

Collaboration and Monitoring of the Maintenance Team

A Unique Link with the Maintenance Team

One of our specificities is the close link we maintain with the maintenance team. For us, they are the first people on the ground with a precise vision of the issues related to maintenance, available equipment, but also the immediate environment of your property.

Our housekeeping services are carried out through an exclusive partnership in the Lanaudière region and with experienced self-employed workers on the Island of Montreal. They follow our methodology based on best practices for short-term rentals with precise specifications.

We work hand in hand with the maintenance team for housekeeping, of course, but also to anticipate problems (reporting urgent repair needs, for example), and to complete our recommendations in addition to tenant feedback and our unannounced checks. Learn more about our BCD checks.

The Main Tasks of Our Housekeeping Service

Our short-term rental housekeeping service is more than just cleaning. We focus on the details that matter for short-term rentals to provide an excellent guest experience.

  • Management of the Housekeeping Calendar: We plan and coordinate regular cleaning services to maintain the cleanliness and quality of your property, taking into account bookings and departures.
  • Post-Departure Housekeeping: After each departure, we perform a complete and thorough cleaning according to precise specifications to prepare the property for the next tenants.
  • Recovery of Forgotten Items: If a tenant forgets an item, we take care of retrieving it and contacting them to organize its return.
  • Maintenance Form and Follow-Up: After each maintenance, the maintenance team sends us a detailed form with the inventory, photos (including spa water, if applicable), and reports concerning broken or missing items or necessary repairs. This allows us to inform you quickly and offer you suitable recommendations.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: We evaluate your tenants, can highlight discrepancies/breakage with photo support (including a refund process), and collect their comments to continually improve the quality of our service and your property.
    • The condition of your property in terms of cleanliness and tidiness is one of the main criteria for evaluating tenants.

Additional Options for More Comfort

We offer 3 options that come with short-term housekeeping. These are operated at the same time as the maintenance and thus minimize your costs by removing additional travel costs.

Refill Option: Replenishment of Supplies
To simplify your life, we offer the Refill option, which ensures a constant supply of essential supplies for tenants and for housekeeping (toilet paper, soap, cleaning products, etc.).


Belle Saison Option: Maintenance of Outdoor Spaces
This option is ideal in spring and summer for properties with outdoor spaces (terrace, dock, etc.). It can include sweeping surfaces, cleaning outdoor furniture (tables, chairs, sofas), cleaning around the fireplace, and checking boats, if applicable.

This option does not replace the necessary thorough maintenance of the land. For this, you can find all the possibilities we offer with outdoor maintenance such as lawn, leaves or snow.

Spa Maintenance Option (available in Lanaudière only)

For cottages in Lanaudière equipped with a spa, we offer complete professional management:

  • water tests after each booking,
  • addition of chemicals to maintain water balance and optimal pH,
  • regular cleaning (including filter cleaning),
  • support for tenants for spa use,
  • management of product stocks and constant supply.

In addition, different one-time packages are available for thorough spa maintenance and management of damage caused by tenants.
